My TANGZU Amethyst Dragon has finally arrived, and honestly, it was worth the wait. 💜🐉
I pre-ordered the Amethyst Dragon from day one, and I can say that this is probably the TANGZU IEM I have been anticipating the most. The delivery took a little longer than I expected, but the moment I finally had it in my hands and put it in my ears, I immediately felt that the wait was worth it.
I’ve been collecting TANGZU IEMs for a while now. I have the Wan’er Version 1 and the Jade in my collection, and each one has a special place for me. I was also hoping to win the Xuanwu Gate II raffle, but unfortunately, I didn’t win. My raffle code was 0681. 😅 Maybe next time!
But the Amethyst Dragon feels different to me.
Of all the IEMs in my collection, this is the one I find myself loving the most. The fit is incredibly comfortable for my ears, and I can wear it for long listening sessions without feeling uncomfortable. The sound quality is superb — detailed, enjoyable, and immersive without making listening feel tiring. There’s something about the way it presents music that makes me want to keep listening to one more song… and then another. 🎶
I also use the Amethyst Dragon when I’m playing and making music with my guitar. It has become more than just an IEM that I use for casual listening. I use it when I want to sit down, relax, listen closely to music, and when I’m working on guitar ideas and compositions. It lets me hear the little details that I sometimes miss with other earphones, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
And honestly, I really appreciate what TANGZU has created with the Amethyst Dragon. It doesn't just feel like another IEM in my collection. It feels like something I was genuinely excited to receive and something I’ll continue to enjoy for a long time.
From the Wan’er V1, to the Jade, and now the Amethyst Dragon, TANGZU has slowly become a meaningful part of my audio journey. I’m proud to have these pieces in my collection, and I hope I can continue supporting the brand and being part of the community.

I kept the tone personal rather than making it sound like a paid/promotional review, which should make it feel more authentic to the TANGZU team.
They arrived quickly considering the distance. Excellent packaging and presentation. Comfortable to wear. Considering the price they sound amazing. Favorably comparable to earbuds from the big brands at 10x the price or more. They're my first set of IEMs after using wired and wireless earbuds over the years from Sony, skullcandy, jbl, apple, and bose. My only nitpick is the cable, it's not my favorite a little stiff, but no where near a deal breaker. It can always be replaced with another 2 pin cable if you needed it. Would absolutely recommend especially if you're curious whether IEMs are the right fit for you.
