A bit more of a trebly set, its easier to put on than the regular sonics, these aren't as comfortable in terms of texture compared to the sancais though, the sancais are way way smoother and have a nice texture to them, but these trade a bit of that for better treble and a bit better soundstage, difference is negligible imo.
I think you should make a double-ended adapter. I have ordered WANER SG2 jade dragon with mic but you only have a single-ended adapter so i cannot use my mic if i use it with adapter. Also it is much easier to buy both from you. I don’t buy earphones from you and adapter from another shop.
The stand in the box does not have any foam support, so it snapped during delivery.
Not Tangzu's fault specifically, but would have been nice to include some support.
Package:
As for sub 30$ IEM Amethyst Dragon offers quite unique and premium unboxing experience together with package itself. I was really amazed how nice presentation was at this price point. Carry case is okay but given the price it's quite nice to see it even comes from factory. Shells are really nice to me and i like it's faceplate texture. Ergonomics and comfort are good for my ears. Cable is probably the best and nicest at this price point. Of course there is also Amethyst Dragon theme cloth which will be sitting at my desk since it's quite "dope" and unique. Included HE Sonic eartips speaks for themself...
Bass:
Sub bass extension is good and reaches quite low. Texture is awesome for 20$ IEM. Attack and decay are next level at this buget and even in sub 50$ buget range, quite natural with well judged bass boost. Instruments in mid/upper bass sound natural without resonance. Natural and musical bass overall with next-level textures.
Mids:
Probably half way between Harman and DF. Nice balance between note thickness and muscality. There is nothing wrong with lower mids and this IEM can produce some refined tones, no doubt about that. Tbh i'm not really fan of this upper mids tonality but it's executed well for those who likes slightly softer but present vocals. Instruments sound quite well, nice and natural.
Treble:
Also musical, slightly lifted and forward, not offensive, i'm fan of it. I dont feel anything lacks here, moreover im quite surprised how good treble is for sub 30$ single DD IEM that plays awesome bass besides treble. Wide bore Sonic eartips are adding some air spice but it's well judged. For those who are treble sensitive there is always an option to put standard or narrow bores if they have spare eartips.
Stage:
Imaging and soundstage are not on slouch at all. Probably not that refined as sets 5x and 10x the price regardless the soundstage but you wont feel limited in this area at all. Purple Dragon is quite spacious and imaging is probably a highlight for me, super good in as buget set but also in general.
Technicalities:
Treble transients sound technical without much "soft edges" and you will hear everyting wrong in the mix. Resolution could be slightly better in mid tones. General "speed" and texture is very good. Tonal balance is kinda U shaped but well judged. Dynamics are okay, not the best but im definitely not dissapointed.
Although this is my first Wan'er i tried and owned i'm really happy with this set and with everything it offers at just 24$. You certainly wont get better overall IEM around this price range with everything that comes with it. Tangzu, you really did a good job and satisfied my expectations 😉
