Tangzu Dufu verse 2 or Fudu as we call it internationally, landed in the mailbox this morning. Fudu 2 is warm, intimate, musical with sub rumble and good bass. Soundstage is Medium with good details, depth and positioning. The treble leans towards the brighter side and complements the bass well. Changed cable to a GY gold/black that I had lying around and it opened up the soundstage and so far I have only used Tangzu sancai widebore. Brass body and wooden faceplate make Fudu verse 2 look as good as they sound, a bit like a whiskey on the rocks after a hard work week, cheers to you... 🥃 Ps just try the tip roll to Tangzu sancai Noble and the soundstage got wider and treble smoother, I've probably never had a pair of IEMs where both cable and tips made such a big difference. Xduoo xd05t tubeamp used, Dufu verse 2 need good amp to get up to satisfying bass.

Build & Design
The Tangzu FUDU VERSE II immediately impresses in hand. Its precision CNC brass metal body feels dense and sturdy without ever being overbearing. The natural oak faceplate gives it a premium, artisan aesthetic—not exactly handcrafted, but far from cheap-looking. The wood is smooth, slightly warm to the touch, and visually striking. These IEMs are heavy, but in a satisfying way that practically disappears once they’re in your ears.
Cable:
Cable:
I swapped in a new, nice thick cable. It still looks great, is flexible, and feels solid. The upgrade noticeably improved the soundstage, giving more depth and space to the music, and made the listening experience even more immersive.
Fit:
Tang Sancai eartips are some of my favorite and most-used tips. I’ve got the wide-bore versions on both my Alpha/Omega: Fulgrim’s and Omega’s, and now on these too. The FUDU VERSE II aren’t large IEMs, so the fit is excellent—very comfortable for long listening sessions.
Packaging:
For $99, these deliver the most premium unboxing experience I’ve ever had. It felt more like opening a high-end $1,000+ IEM, and I have to say—I love the looks of the whole package.
Sound Signature & Tuning
Bass:
The titanium dynamic driver delivers a punchy, tight low end. It’s controlled but impactful—no boominess. Sub-bass rumble is present but not overemphasized. Kick drums and basslines hit with authority, making rhythmic tracks fun without overwhelming the mids. This all comes through after a good burn-in (20–30 hours) and is especially satisfying when the volume is a little higher than usual—for me, at least.
Mids:
Thanks to the dual balanced armatures, vocals sit beautifully forward. Female vocals sparkle naturally, while male vocals feel intimate and detailed. Instrumental layering in the midrange (guitars, strings, synth pads) is clear—very good, though not perfect. In today’s world of excellent IEMs, they might not be the absolute best at this price, but they still impress.
Treble:
Treble is crisp yet smooth. It’s present enough to reveal detail—hi-hats, cymbals, string plucks—without being harsh. It complements the mids well, with minimal sibilance. Again, very good but not “best ever” territory; still, it’s enjoyable and natural.
Soundstage & Imaging:
With the new cable, the depth and spatial separation are even better. Instruments and vocals feel more three-dimensional, and the sense of space around each element is more pronounced.
Detail Retrieval:
Detail comes through very well, especially at slightly higher volumes. Subtle background elements, ambient sounds, and textures are audible. The metal housing seems to contribute to the overall clarity.
