Now, XuanWu Gate II returns with a major upgrade—building on the excellence of the first-generation flagship to achieve a comprehensive leap across materials, craftsmanship, and acoustic tuning.
From all-aluminum to all-copper, from terraced textures to divine beast bas-reliefs. The first generation's aviation-grade aluminum alloy cavity and electroplated metal terraced faceplate have evolved into the second generation's all-copper cavity and divine beast bas-relief faceplate. The metallic texture feels heavier and more substantial, infused with a richer Chinese-style charm—holding it in your hand reveals true flagship weight. Every line carved is a tribute to the majestic spirit of the Tang Dynasty; every detail reflects the deliberate ingenuity of master craftsmanship.

XuanWu Gate II features a flagship acoustic architecture with 1 Dynamic Driver + 4 Balanced Armatures + 4 Electrostatic Drivers per side. Compared to the first generation's 2 Sonion electrostatic drivers, the number of EST drivers has doubled, delivering a comprehensive leap in ultra-high frequency performance. The self-developed 10mm wood diaphragm dynamic driver establishes a deep, solid foundation, customized balanced armatures capture subtle vocal details, and four Sonion electrostatic drivers extend the brilliant shimmer of the ultra-highs.
All three driver types play their dedicated roles while blending seamlessly into a cohesive whole—producing a natural, harmonious sound with zero crossover issues typical of multi-driver setups. Balanced to excel across all frequencies, XuanWu Gate II effortlessly handles everything from the warm emotion of pop vocals and the grand majesty of symphonies to the intricate textures of solo instrumental performances.

Unlike the cold rigidity of metal diaphragms or the thin lightness of plastic ones, the unique structure of wood fiber imparts a rich detail and warm, natural texture that is difficult to replicate.
4 Sonion Electrostatic Drivers
Because electrostatic diaphragms are extremely thin, they are driven after current-to-voltage step-up conversion, resulting in superior detail retrieval. XuanWu Gate II utilizes 4 Sonion electrostatic drivers to achieve better synergy with the dynamic and balanced armature drivers, amplifying subtle nuances for a purer, more transparent timbre. Sound separation and density are clean and precise, creating an overall relaxed, vibrant, and highly responsive presentation with a rich, immersive atmosphere.
4 Customized Balanced Armature Drivers
4 customized composite balanced armature drivers are selected for the mid-high and high frequencies. Like four master musicians performing together under the direction of a precise crossover, they bring XuanWu Gate II a level of detail richness, smooth crossover transition, and charmingly unique timbre that far surpasses single BA or simple multi-BA configurations.
All-Copper Cavity · Divine Beast Bas-Relief Faceplate.The relief pattern on the front faceplate of the earphone is adapted from the lion-head door knocker (pushou) found on Tang Dynasty royal gates. On ancient palace doors, the lion head gripping a ring served as a symbol of guardianship, protection, and regal authority.
The designers have condensed and carved the massive, regal palace gate beast onto the earphone faceplate. The auspicious cloud patterns surrounding the beast's head are drawn from classic Tang Dynasty artifact cloud motifs, bringing a natural charm of traditional Chinese style. The vintage aged-bronze metal surface recreates the weathered texture of ancient bronze door ornaments, conveying a sense of historical weight at a single glance.
Cavity Contour: Terraced Landscapes, Flowing Scenery The progressive, streamlined texture on the side of the cavity draws inspiration from the contour line topography of Chinese mountain terraces. Continuous undulating lines embed the poetic imagery of rivers and mountains within the metal shell, granting this cold digital product a sense of flowing Eastern poetry.
Ergonomic Design
The rich acoustics and premium tactile feel of solid copper were essential goals for the XuanWu Gate II. However, we also recognize that extra weight can compromise wearing comfort. To preserve the sonic advantages of copper while ensuring a comfortable fit, we specially optimized the vertical curvature of the shell and the nozzle angle. This design increases the contact area with the pinna, distributing pressure evenly rather than concentrating it on a single point. Paired with custom-developed ear tips, even a heavier copper shell remains securely positioned, ensuring a stable and comfortable fit during long listening sessions.
